Pre-K Curriculum
-
The Pre-Kindergarten Program uses the Mississippi Beginnings Curriculum, which provides scholars with a strong start. Through a combination of curriculum, coaching, and professional development, we are able to sustain improvements and high- quality teaching. MS Beginnings focuses on child- centric developmental education. Evidence-based practices are used to ensure the domains of learning: social and emotional development, language and communication, emergent literacy: reading, emergent literacy: writing, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, technology, and physical development. MS Beginnings focuses on key learning goals in which scholars are able to express themselves through play. Within each domain, it is designed to ensure all children have the opportunity to work toward attaining these goals and achieving readiness for kindergarten and beyond.
