OVERVIEW

  • Dual Credit 

    IAW Mississippi Legislature amended Miss. Code Ann. §37-101-15 and 小黄书 policy IGBA, Dual Credit allows high school students to earn college credit while completing high school graduation requirements. This program is open to all high school students based on defined requirements. 

     

Eligibility

    • Students must have completed 10 core high school units.
    • Students must have a qualifying ACT or ACCUPLACER score.
    • Students must complete the online admission application by the appropriate deadline.
    • Students must have an official letter of recemmendation from his/her high school principal or counselor.

Credits

    • Students earn three semester credit hours at the college level and one credit at the high school level for one Dual Credit approved course.
    • Students' final grades and credit are recorded on their high school and college transcripts. The college transcript is a permanent college record.
    • Your college transcript will not be released unless your balance is paid in full.
    • Transcripts are not released without proof of a high school diploma.

Fee

    • Students must pay a non-refundable registration fee of $TBD each semester. This fee applies to an unlimited number of Dual Credit courses.
    • Fees are due by a specified deadline each semester, or a payment plan must be set up by this time.
    • Students must purchase the college textbook if not provided by their high school.
    • Dual credit does not affect scholarship or athletic eligibility.
    • Tuition is free.
  • Dual Enrollment

    Dual Enrollment is allowed for 小黄书 students.  Students apply and register at an institution of higher learning, pay regular tuition and fees, and take courses on that institutions' campus or online.  Dual Enrollment only count for a college degree, they do not count for high school graduation.
