Wilkins Elementary is one of 30 elementary schools in the Jackson Public School District. It serves students in grades K-5. Wilkins houses several special programs including Gifted Education, Wilkins Performing Arts Department, SuperBoyz, and Exceptional Education programs. Our staff is made up of an energetic group of educators and life-long learners who are highly qualified to teach. We have several teachers with advanced/graduate-level degrees and certifications. To ensure that we reach every student, our school also has an incomparable group of instructional partners, intervention team and volunteers who work diligently to reinforce our vision and mission.

Vision
The vision of Wilkins Elementary is to prepare scholars in a safe and competitive environment, where they will grow, learn and become proficient, critical thinkers who will be college and career ready.
Goals
- Students’ achievement and performance on the statewide assessments will improve by 10% this school year.
- Teachers in all instructional areas will incorporate quality academic centers/small groups that will challenge and enhance the learning process and academic performance for all students.
- Teachers in all instructional areas will formulate and implement lesson plan of academic rigor.
